experience is nothing short of impressive.

Most recently Erling was the President of the cruise division at an international search and recruitment company. Prior to that, Erling held the title of Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer at Silversea Cruises. Silversea is synonymous with luxury and their (5) smaller sized ships saw substantial growth and improvements to their product under his direction. Guest satisfaction increased and the line won numerous awards and accolades during his tenure.

Quite a change going to Silversea Cruises from Disney Cruise Line, where he’d spent the 10 years prior. Disney Cruise Line is thought of as the leader of the family niche market under the umbrella of the very large corporation, Walt Disney Company. As Vice President, Hotel Operations Erling worked on small details and large details, like the operation of Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.

Erling’s resume starts with his position at Royal Viking Line, which at that time, was the best luxury cruise line in the world. You may recall ship names such as Royal Viking Star, Sky, Sea and Sun. As their Vice President, Hotel Operations Erling had his foot in the luxury door. After his success at Royal Viking Line, he moved to Crystal Cruises and took the position of Senior Vice President, Hotel Operations. Crystal Cruises is the leading large-ship, luxury cruise line. Erling delivered the Crystal Harmony and Crystal Symphony and the company received its highest ratings.

Erling is a Norwegian native and a graduate of both Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland. He and his family are now living in Norway and he is working alongside SEADREAM’S Owner & CEO, Atle Brynestad in Oslo.
