Today, SeaDream comes alongside to dock very near the centre of the city of Split; the historic and commercial center of Croatia.

We commence with a panoramic drive through the town and our first visit will be the dramatic gallery of Ivan Mestrovic who is known as Croatia’s premier modern sculptor. Ivan Mestrovic built this gallery as a personal residence in 1931. This comprehensive and well-arranged collection of works is sure to leave a lasting impression. The gallery is located just outside the town of Split. Upon arrival you will be able to stroll through his Gallery and former house. At the conclusion of your walk, step outside into the beautiful garden with magnificent views over the sea.

Then it’s on to the city of Split, which is the product of 17 centuries of building, renovating and remodeling. Today, Split is an amazing mesh of old and new. At the core of this sprawling cityscape is one of the two the highlights of today’s excursion, The Diocletian Palace, dating from the 4th century. The Palace is one of the most Imposing sites in existence. Far from being a museum, the 220 buildings within the palace boundaries are still home to 3000 people as well as housing shops and cafes. A walking tour visits the cellars of the palace, the Cathedral of St. Duje and the Temple of Jupiter. After exiting the cellars, the Golden Gate and Peristyle Square will also be seen.

Enjoy a bit of free time to explore the colorful open market or do some people watching before returning to your SeaDream yacht.

A scenic journey from Split brings you into the beautiful countryside along the banks of the Cetina River. Those with an adventurous spirit and love for untouched nature will enjoy this rafting experience and the magnificent canyons, waterfalls and lush vegetation surrounding the Cetina. Experienced skippers will accompany you throughout the trip. After a lot of excitement in the water, head to the Radmanove Mlinice restaurant for refreshments and lunch before returning to Split and SeaDream.
Notes:
The Cetina River rafting is rated as Class 2-3 rapids, which can involve waves up to 4 feet and rapids requiring some maneuvering of the raft. Water levels on the day will vary and affect the classification. Under-dress your swimsuit, wear shoes that can get wet, and bring some dry clothes to change into. Lifejackets will be provided and must be worn.

This adventure will include scenic cruise along Split Riviera Islands and you may choose with your private guide where to go and what to do. You may choose to visit Island of Hvar - Year round, the sun pours down on Hvar, making its limestone towns sparkle amid green hills, rocky terrain and a sea of clear cobalt blue. Every spring, the island dons purple and the air fills with the heady smell of lavender, from which islanders make a sweet smelling oil that seems to perfume the air the rest of the year.

Hvar is the longest of all the Croatian islands and is home to three towns. The largest of these, also named Hvar, served as an important harbor for Venice`s Adriatic fleet from the late 12th century through most of the 18th century. As though to remained us of its former importance, Hvar sports a thick - walled fortress overlooking the harbor and, in the very heart of the port, a large Arsenal. But none of this appears threatening - of the contrary, the fortress invites you to climb to its summit and drink in the view, while the Arsenal, whose arched portal recalls nothing more threatening that the mouth of a bass, houses Europe`s first community theatre (built in 1612).

Long before it was the fashion, this theatre allowed the masses to buy seats in the pit, while the landed gentry sat in slightly raised boxes at the back or visit Island of Brac – The highest Island in Adriatic Sea. The coast of the islands is 175 km long. Numerous beaches and bays follows one another. The most known beach is Zlatni Rat situated on the north part of the Island. Perhaps you may decide to visit Island of Vis with Fisherman Village of Komiza – the most picturesque village in this part of Adriatic.

Our recommendation is to visit town of Bol – Brac Island and town of Hvar – Hvar Island. If your main desire is to swim and enjoy in Mediterranean sun, Milna bay/beach – Island of Hvar and Zlatni Rat beach – Island of Brac are the two most popular and beautiful beaches in Split region.
