Unbeknown to many, the island of Páros is a popular summer destination. The charm of the island with its beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, terraced interior hills and several lovely villages and towns keeps attracting more and more visitors each year. Come and join us to take a look around this beautiful island and, you will very likely wish to return for a longer stay.

Depart from the pier onboard your air-conditioned vehicle for a 30-minute drive to the beautiful town of Parikia, the capital of the island and busy ferry port. On arrival, you just have to do it - visit the famous Church of Ekatontapyliani (Our lady of a Hundred Doors). This church is the holy place on Páros and is linked to the history and myths of Byzantium. Tradition and history state that the church began life in the reign of Constantine the Great (280 - 337 A.D.) or Justinian (527 - 565). After its restoration in 1959, this church, the brightest jewel in the crown of Orthodoxy in the Aegean, became the third most important Christian building in Greece, after the Panayia Akheiropoietos and St. Demetrios in Thessaloniki. Before you leave Parikia you will have some free time to walk around the picturesque streets of Parikia with its numerous little shops. Bring your cash and credit cards….

Continue via your air-conditioned vehicle for a panoramic overview of the island as you proceed to the traditional and beautiful village of Lefkes, built in an amphitheatrically style for a lovely walk of about 60 minutes. From there, up the main mountain, enjoy wonderful vistas all around. Don’t forget to take a peek at the town hall, built with the famous Marble of Páros (the Venus de Milo was carved from the same marble).

Once you depart Lefkes return to the port of Náousa, an easy 20-minute drive.
Notes:
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. You will spend about two hours on foot. Most of the walking is flat with only a few steps and all of it on paved surfaces. In the village of Lefkás a few streets have a slight incline.

A minimum participation is required to operate all Yachting Land Adventures and some have limited capacity. This program is booked onboard only so please make your reservations as soon as possible after boarding to avoid disappointment. All adventures and prices in the SeaDream Yachting Land Adventures program are subject to change. The price is subject to increase based on the rapidly rising exchange rate between the Euro to the US Dollar.
