| Malacca, Melaka | According to official records Malacca was established in 1390AD, but the year could have been any between 1376 and 1400. It seems more certain that Prince Parameswara was the founding father – according to the embellished tale, he decided upon the site during a hunting expedition when a small mouse grew so fierce in defending itself against his hound, it attacked and drove the larger animal into the river. The prince was sitting beneath a Melaka tree as he observed the spectacle, and so named his new city. Learn about Dutch Colonial heritage on a SeaDream Land Adventure. SeaDreamer's can also enjoy a round of golf at a local country club. |
| Singapore | Lee Kuan Yew, first and longest reigning Prime Minister of Singapore, stepped down in 1990. Known as 'father of Singapore,' Mr. Lee's guidance unquestionably created an economic marvel and model safe society out of a chaotic post-war, post-colonial state. The rules are tough, but clear. Jaywalkers are fined on the spot. Drop litter – and you pay (smokers beware!). Explore the city-state's impressive modernity and tradition in its architecture. I.M. Pei's striking Gateway and Moshe Safdie's Marin Bay Sands point the way to the future, but don't miss the handsome Old Parliament House. |

| Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor) | Pulau Pangkor, just off the central Malaysian coast was probably first settled when refugees fled in the path of powerful armies that swept along the peninsula. Later, with expanding European spice trade, pirates discovered hidden Pangkor coves, but modern 'settlers' gather to enjoy sun and sand at places like Pantai Puteri Dewi, Teluk Belanga, and Pasir Bogak. There are also quiet coves at Tortoise Bay, Teluk Nipah and Teluk Chempedak. The main island town is known as Pangkor Village, but beaches and plush resorts are the main attractions. |
| Tarutao Island (Ko Tarutao) | Ko Tarutao is a relatively large island of 150 square kilometers, and aside from the concrete road the terrain is rugged and mountainous with several peaks stretching more than 500 meters high; it's no wonder the TV show Survivor Thailand was filmed here. The Malay word "tarutao" means old, mysterious and primitive, and today Ko Tarutao retains these qualities even though it's been bisected by a long path of blazing white concrete. Perhaps more than anywhere in Thailand, Ko Tarutao is a haven for wildlife. Sea turtles, whales, monitor lizards, crab-eating macaques, mouse deer, and countless species of birds all call the island and its surrounding waters home. It's not the optimal place for snorkelling since the water is murky compared to other Andaman islands, but for most, the clean and expansive whitesand beaches, diverse wildlife, waterfalls, caves, hiking and views more than compensate. |
| Phuket | Roughly the size of Singapore, Phuket is widely known for its fine resorts, but it also showcases traditional Thai culture and a spectacular natural interior. Sheer limestone crags thrust from scenic Phang Nga Bay off the island's northern tip, creating a peaceful refuge from 'it all.' For another kind of Thai serenity, visit South Phuket's Wat Chalong. Its Grand Pagoda, one of the island's most revered sites, preserves a fragment of Lord Buddha's bone. After touring, curl up on a quiet section of Ao Patong (Patong Beach), on the southwestern shore. Join your fellow SeaDreamer's for a Phang Nga cruise or find your inner James Bond aboard ... an elephant! The yacht has also arranged several other Land Adventure possibilities including an excursion to one of the island's world-class golf resorts. |
| A Dang Island (Taratao NP) | Tarutao National Park in Thailand's southern Satun Province is as close to the essence of paradise as it gets. If you are looking for a spectacular coral reef and a private stretch of sugary white sand, you have come to the right place. Other than the color of the sea, which defies description, nothing further needs to be said about Ko A Dang, second largest island in the archipelago. |
| Penang Island (Pulau Penang) | One of 13 Malaysian states, Penang Island is just 110 sq mi/285 sq km in size. Once dominion of the Sultan of Kedah, it was always more or less an independent place until the British Raj arrived. In 1786, Captain Francis Light acquired Penang from the Sultan on behalf of the British East India Company. Georgetown is a pleasant place of colonial architecture and atmosphere. Fort Cornwallis' weathered walls are just about the center of town, and the fort – Captain Light's landing site – is one of Penang's oldest English structures. Your SeaDream Land Adventure takes you to explore the local culture or swim at a fine local beach. |

Lumut Port Pangkor
View the simple life in Lumut as you visit the rubber plantation. Then take a trip to the Turtle Sanctuary and Mangrove Forest. The name Perak simply means silver due to the rich deposits of tin in the Kinta valley. Lumut Port was once an important hub for the shipment of tin ore. Tin is one of the commodities that helped build Malaysia to what it is today. It must be noted that Malaysia was once the largest tin producer in the world before the introduction of Aluminum. You and your fellow SeaDreamers will drive past miles of orderly Oil Palm and Rubber plantations before we stop at the Rubber Estate. Walk into the Rubber estate and observe a demonstration on how to tap a rubber tree. Enjoy a tranquil walk into one of the Mangrove Forests to see the different types of mangrove trees. What appears to be a wasteland plays an important part in Mother Earth’s ecosystem. You may view various species of mangrove such as “Rhizophora Mucronata”, Excoecaria and Xylocarpus, which processed high quality charcoal. A Mangrove Forest acts as buffer between the sea and the land. They help stop erosion, acts as a wave breaker, provides some protection against a Tsunami, an important breeding ground for fish and many other animals and a haven for bird enthusiasts. In short, it is a very important part of the eco system. The timber of the mangrove wood is also used to make export quality charcoal. You will then proceed to the Turtle Sanctuary. Observe these wonders of the sea at this sanctuary. The beaches of Malaysia have been renowned as one of the few places in the world where the sea turtles come to lay their eggs. Among the turtles that frequent our beaches are the Leather Back, Green Turtle, Hawksbill and the Olive Ridley species. Studies have shown that these turtles travel across continents but make an annual pilgrimage to the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs. At this sanctuary turtle eggs are collected, hatched and later released into the sea to ensure that this endangered species continue to thrive and not driven into extinction. After the sanctuary visit, you will board your coach and head back to the pier and your SeaDream pier.

Heritage Jewels Of Georgetown
Georgetown, named after Britian's King George III, is synonymous with history. Colonial buildings, Chinese shop-houses and Little India makes the inner city of Georgetown easily one of the most interesting and charming cities in Asia. A heritage Jewel that is largely intact. We start our tour by visiting the Thai Buddhist Temple, which houses the 4th largest Reclining Buddha in the world measuring 108ft long. The Burmese Buddhist Temple sitting across the road, spices up the already rich cultural diversity of Penang. This is followed by another jewel of Georgetown, the Baba Nyonya Museum also known as the Chung Keng Kooi Mansion. This was formally a private home belonging to a Chinese Kapitan who was the head of the Hai San secret society. You will be amazed at how well this house has been restored. The antique furniture and woodwork is simply awesome. Not to be missed is the Majestic Khoo Kongsi. The most beautiful Chinese Clan House to be built outside China. The intricate wood and granite living together with 24 stone carved classical examples of filial piety makes this place a must for visitor to Penang. On our return journey, we will visit one of the several Chinese Clan Jetties. Walk over the barrow wooden platform to appreciate the humble beginnings of this immigrant Chinese who braveed the seas in small boats to seek better fortunes in the Malaya. Golfing At Penang Golf Club
Penang Golf Club provides a stunning panoramic view of the island, with the impressive Penang Bridge and mainland Malaysia in the distance. Villas, apartment blocks and the huge Equatorial Hotel provide most of the backdrop to this very tight and often dramatically undulating, parkland golf course. Although surrounded by the sights and sounds of the city, there are also enough jungle clad hills around to remind you that Penang Island is lush and tropical, much favored by holiday-makers and beach-goers. The 18 hole 5,763 meter, par-72 golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is fairly compact. Around the often smallish greens, Trent Jones has chosen to "hide" many of the bunkers, giving them grassy faces that blend into the fairways and semi-rough. The Penang Golf Club layout favors accuracy instead of distance off the tee. The sharply doglegging, dramatically downhill opening par-4, provides a clear signal of the tightness of things to come, while also highlighting the excellent presentation and maintenance standards you'll find here. By the time you reach the super-tight par-4 4th, you'll either have the measure of the course, or it will have the measure of you. Providing you are happy to be challenged and tested on a relatively technical layout where accurate shot-making is paramount, then this course will quickly grow on you, and reward you with many attractively designed holes and interesting views. The long par-3 8th provides one of several testing tee shots. The sharply descending par-4 10th signature hole is perhaps the most dramatic plunge you and your ball will have to make, as the tee is perched 100 feet above the fairway on the valley floor. Penang Golf Club may feel a bit tight and constraining at times, but its undulating terrain and unusual mix of jungle and city views make this a thoroughly enjoyable and very attractive course. Close by hotels, restaurants, and shops make this also one of the most convenient Penang golf courses for the Malaysia golf visitor
