Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The island is famous for the unique fauna which roam the Komodo National Park. It's most famous inhabitant is the Komodo dragon, the world's largest living lizard, which takes its name from the island. This tour will take us on a 2 hour trek of the island. The highlight of this trip is seeing the Komodo Dragons. These relatives of the dinosaurs are the biggest reptiles on the earth, reaching lengths of over 3 meters (10 feet) and can weigh over 125kg (275lbs). After a short briefing at the rangers' station, start we start our trek through Tamarind Woods, a forest of tamarind and palm trees. Our guide will show us around and provide some insight into the life of this unique reptile. Keep an eye open for these dappled giants as we approach Banunggulung, a former Komodo feeding ground. we continue on our trek ending up at the Ranger's station, where we will have a little time to browse for souvenirs from the local villagers before returning to your yacht via the tender boat.

Notes IMPORTANT NOTES: For safety and security reasons, all guests who are going ashore are required to book excursion onboard. This is due to limited number of rangers in the National park and on the island. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Do not wear or carry any RED items on Komodo Island. Terrain on Komodo is rough and uneven. It is not be suitable for guests in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. People with wounds or menstruating are recommended to stay onboard the ship. Our dive site at Pink Beach is called Pantai Merah by local people. The naming describes the place well: it has red colored sand. This Komodo diving site is part of Komodo Island's shoreline. It is probably the most well-known Komodo dive site as you have to pass this dive site when you want to see the fiery dragons from the park station Generally, the dive site is a good place with clear water. Pink Beach is between 5 and 30m deep with visibility between 8 and 25m. Sometimes it sees occasional current of 0-1 knot, with rather stronger current flows in the area between Punya Island and Komodo Island. The current represents the transition between the temperate water in the south and the tropical water of the north Marine life is rich here with the schooling fish, fusiliers, as the dominant species. When you go deeper, you find pelagic such as snapper, trevallies, and sweetlips. At around 25m, the coral outcrops drops rather slightly. Around the corals, we can find reef fish like cardinal, butterfly, damselfish, grouper, angel, batfish, anthias, wrasse, surgeon, parrot, box, trigger, porcupine, and puffer. Flounder, Moray, Gobies, Frogfish, Eels and Leaf fish are permanent bottom dwellers at this Komodo diving site. Octopus, shrimp and crabs are easily visible. Snakes and turtles are rarely visible here as well as the rays and sharks " but sometimes you can meet white tip shark.

The indigenous Sasak in Lombok retain a rich and distinguished tradition. We will visit their villages to see their life, culture and art. We depart Lembar harbour to visit a variety of villages each with their own charm. The village of Banyumulek is one the best example of the simple way of life in Lombok, where people make pottery with a traditional technique for their living. We then continue to Narmada Kingly Garden, the authentic legacy of the great King Narmada. At the fountain of Eternal Youth, the waters are said to help one stay young. Our next visit is to the Sade Village, where the "eloping marriages" are still part of the living drama practised in Sasak tradition. Once the marriage is blessed by the parents, a happy celebratory party commences, and everybody wears their best outfit.

Experience the history and enigmatic allure of Borobudur, the spiritual centre of Javanese Buddhism. This tour is designed to allow us to explore this historic site in depth. We depart by coach from Tanjung Emas Port to the incredible UNESCO World Heritage site of Borobudur. We drive through the dramatic landscape of central Java and stop at a local coffee shop to break our journey en route to Borobudur and it's remarkable man-made marvel. The world's largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur, was constructed between 778 and 856 AD, and built with over two million cubic feet of stone. This massive building project exhausted five generations of central Java's population, yet within little more than a century of its completion, was mysteriously abandoned. A subsequent eruption of neighbouring Mount Merapi completely covered the site in ash and it wasn't rediscovered until 1814. The painstaking excavation and restoration of Borobudur was accomplished at a cost of $25 million, but has given us today a remarkable monument that stands as a symbol to an ancient and glorious heritage. After our morning exploration of the temple, we will be treated to a buffet lunch of Indonesian specialties, and a delightful performance by local entertainers. Re-boarding your coach, it's a relaxing and scenic drive back to the pier where your tour will conclude. Please note: Due to the travel distance between Semarang and Borobudur, travel time is generally in excess of two hours in each direction. Comfort stops are made en-route. The tour also includes a considerable amount of walking and a significant number of steps to be negotiated. Therefore, it is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Caps, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Notes Dress Code Suggestions: Casual Clothes, hat, sun glasses, convenience flat shoes or sandles. 1. Guests visiting the Borobudur Temple are not allowed to wear high heels shoes or high heels sandals, the management of Borobudur Temple will ask them to change sandals with rubber sandals provided by Borobudur Temple with no charge. 2. Guests who are using short skirts or shorts when going up the Borobudur Temple must put on a “sarong” to cover their knees and thighs. Sarongs are available at the Borobudur Temple.
