Wildlife Safari Cruise
Departing by boat with your fellow guests from the Seven Spirit Bay private jetty, you will travel along the pristine coastline of the Cobourg Marine Park, obtaining a waterline perspective of the beaches that the Garig Gunak Barlu National Park has to offer. The Park includes the land and the surrounding waters of the Arafura Sea and Van Diemen Gulf, and some of the neighboring islands. It covers about 4,500 sq. km. Conserved within the Park area is a mosaic of sandy beaches, dunes and associated coastal grasslands, mangroves, rainforest patches, swamps, lagoons, coral reefs, sea grass meadows and rich marine life. Your licensed guide will stop off at secluded beaches and islands where you can comb the sand and rocks for tropical shells, including Giant Clams, Nautilus, Spider Conch and other marine life, animal tracks and Crocodile slides. From the water it is often possible to spot the occasional Estuarine Crocodile, as well as some of the prolific mammalian wildlife in the park such as the Indonesian Banteng, Buffalo, Wallabies and of course prolific birdlife.
