Gaudi's Barcelona - Architectural Revolution
The symbol of Barcelona must surely be the incredible Sagrada Familia basilica designed by the local revolutionary architect, Antoni Gaudi. Our "Barcelona Highlights" tour gives only a photo-stop view of some of Gaudi's works. This tour will visit the interiors of both the Sagrada Familia and the GUell Park, Gaudi's greatest works. Gaudi is probably the most famous modernist architect in the world. Born in 1852, he was an attentive observer of nature and felt attracted to its forms and geometry. Our tour will start with a viewing of two of Gaudi's buildings, the Casa Mila and the Casa Batllo which have both been declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO. We will then pay a visit to GUELL PARK, the dream of the business man Eusebi Guell and his revolutionary architect, Gaudi. Their plan was to transform a large rocky estate in the north part of the city into a residential area, based on the English model of city-gardens. Despite the wild appearance of the park, everything in it was planned: the access, the market, the main square, the drainage, the reveries, the roads and paths, the staircases, the benches etc. The start of the First World War meant the failure of this project as a real-estate venture. The SAGRADA FAMILIA basilica is probably one of the world's most unique structures. We will visit the interior nave. Prepare yourself to be impressed with the sheer scale of this structure. Still uncompleted, work began in 1882 under the direction of Francesc de Paula Villar, who intended to give the work a neogothic style, in fashion at that time. However, the differences between the architect and the municipality led him to give up the project and was replaced a year later by Gaudi. The temple has 3 facades, one for the Birth which was built in 1891, the second one is the Passion with the Door of Faith and the third one (not yet built) will evoke the Glory of Good. When completed to Gaudi's design, the masterpiece will have 18 towers more than 100 meters high. The group of architects that is now working on the project (which is still a private foundation) dream of finishing the work by 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death.

Discover Cartagena
Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Moors, Christians... Find out why Cartagena was a crossroads of cultures and one of the most important cities in the ancient world on this walking tour which will give you an entertaining insight into nearly 3.000 years of history. Our walk starts through the old quarters to behold several modernist town houses built during the most recent period of splendour in this city, between the second half of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. We then plunge back in time to the period of Roman domination of this area from the 3rd century B.C. Here we find many vestiges of the Roman colonization, such as the Roman baths, "Via Augusta" (the main Roman thoroughfare in the Iberian Peninsula), and the magnificent remains of the Roman theatre, discovered by sheer chance just 20 years ago and still undergoing restoration. We then take an elevator up to the highest of the five hills which Cartagena was built on. Located overlooking the sea; this place chosen by the Christians to raise their main castle over the remains of the Moorish "Alcazar". From here you'll enjoy superb views of the whole city, including its immense natural harbour, well protected by the mountains surrounding it. The Bourbon king Carlos III chose this city to become one of the three main naval bases in Spain during the 18th century, along with "El Ferrol" and "Cadiz". Finally we visit the Civil war Shelter-Museum. These galleries, excavated out of the "Cerro de la Concepcion" served as air-raid shelters and were still to be completed at the end of the Spanish Civil War. They were part of the works carried out to construct shelters with a capacity to hold 5,500 people during the considerable bombing that Cartagena was subjected to, as it was the naval base for a great part of the Republican fleet. Afterwards there will be free time to browse in the main street in the centre of town, called "Calle Mayor". Notes: The order of the visits may vary.

Aix En Provence
A drive through bucolic scenery takes you to the charming old town of Aix en Provence. Many villages, but few towns, are as well preserved as this elegant, traditional capital of Provence. She boasts two of France's most creative geniuses among her sons: the impressionist Paul Cezanne and novelist Emile Zola. Stroll with your guide on a walking tour through the narrow cobblestone lanes of the Vieux Aix (old town Aix) sector as you make your way to the celebrated Cours Mirableau Avenue. Flanked with intertwining plane trees, it is the town's nerve center and divides Vieux Aix in two, with the medieval streets to the north and the sophisticated, haughty 18th-century mansions to the south. The Cathedrale Saint Sauveur is another highlight with its remarkable 15th-century triptych by Nicolas Froment and the carved pillars and slender colonnades of the lovely and tranquil Romanesque cloisters. After the guided portion of your tour, free time is afforded to explore the lovely environs of cafes and boutiques before returning to Cassis and the SeaDream quay.

The Magnificent Alhambra
Discover the Alhambra - dramatic highlight of historic Granada on this unforgettable land adventure. The city is beautiful in its own right, but nothing in all of Spain compares to the wealth of architectural art to be found in the city's Muslim - Hispano complex - the 14th-century Alhambra. This breathtaking example of Moslem architecture is completely encircled by walls and towers - palaces, military buildings, a fortress and the administrative centers of a bygone era all lie protected within. Explore this remarkable structure on foot and marvel at the detailed mosaics, prism-style cupolas, and stone-cast latticework that speak to a surprising grace and sophistication. The nearby Generalife, surrounded by water gardens, was the residence of Kings in need of refuge, and in direct contrast, the stunning El Vino Gate commissioned by Carlos V is built in the purest Renaissance style of the 16th-century. By special SeaDream arrangement, a typical Spanish tapas meal with wine, bottled water and dessert is provided after your walk at the Ruta del Vileta restaurant at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The restaurant is a favorite of King Juan Carlos I during the skiing holidays of the Spanish Royal Family.
Notes The Alhambra is one of the most visited monuments in Europe! This fact, together with logistical restrictions on access for conservation reasons, means that it is not always easy, or possible, to obtain entrance tickets. Eze & The Rothschild Museum
This Yachting Land Adventure begins with a drive along the Moyenne Corniche, a broad modern road that takes large sweeping curves into the delightful Mediterranean countryside. You arrive at the amazing village of Eze, a prime example of a hill village, clinging like an eagle's nest to a rock spike towering 1401 feet over the sea. Entering the 14th-century double gateway by foot, follow the sentry walk leading into the steep narrow streets, sometimes running beneath the carefully restored houses that are now smart boutiques or artists' studios and enjoy approximately one hour of free time. Then, continue along the road that offers a spectacular contrast of rocky cliffs and the sea. At Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, your stop will be the museum "Ile de France". This superb villa houses a priceless collection that the Baroness Beatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild assembled throughout her life. Inspired by the great Renaissance residences of Venice and Florence, surrounded by seven gardens of different themes, the villa contains an exceptional collection of porcelain, furniture, carpets, tapestries and paintings displayed throughout the apartments of Madame de Ephrussi. Following the 45-minute guided visit through the stunning rooms and exhibits you may take time to stroll the French, Spanish, Florentine and Japanese gardens before returning to SeaDream.

As you depart Monaco harbor, the coach will join the Moyenne Corniche, a broad road taking large sweeping curves along the coastline and high cliffs and providing the only access to the amazing village of Eze, a prime example of a Mediterranean hill village. Eze clings like an eagle's nest to a rock spike towering 1401 feet over the sea. On foot you will enter the 14th century double gateway with crenellations and a sentry walk leading into the steep narrow streets, sometimes running beneath the carefully restored houses which are now smart boutiques or artists' studios. Streets of this town are closed to the traffic and the town can only be explored by foot: Do not miss the magnificent views of the coast from the top. Driving back to Monaco, your coach will park at the foot of the rock of Monaco. From here you will take escalators and elevators which will carry you to the Old City: "The Rock". Up the hill, a guided walking tour through the narrow streets will take you past the Oceanographic Museum, the Cathedral containing the tomb of Princess Grace, & view the exterior of Prince's Palace. After a short time at leisure, your motor coach will drive along a small part of the Grand Prix Motor Race circuit before returning to the SeaDream pier.

Monte Carlo Golf Club
Perched at 900 meters above sea level, just under the fortress peak of Mont Agel (1148 meters), Monte-Carlo Golf Club is in fact located in France rather than in Monte Carlo itself. The relatively steep climb up to the Club from La Turbie, does not deter its rich and famous members from making the journey, especially with a well-laid out course, elegant and comfortable clubhouse and stunning scenery waiting. The views out onto the Mediterranean, along the French and Italian Riviera's and inland to the mighty Alps will brighten up any golf round, no matter how your golf swing is performing. Willie Park Jr's original design has stood the test of time, creating an enjoyable and playable course that includes plenty of elevation changes, rolling fairways and clear to see golfing challenges - awkward blind shots are rare, but inevitably there are one or two. Excellent quality greens are stoutly defended by good bunkering, and the well-groomed fairways usually provide enough room for maneuvering, but do tighten-up on some holes. Within the layout's natural, parkland environment, there are some slopes to climb, but it would be wrong to call this a mountain course. The back-nine arguably contains the best holes, especially as you move into more open terrain at the tumbling par-4 13th. A long and gradual climb back up to the clubhouse starts at the par-4 15th, all the while accompanied by some of the most stunning sea and mountain views you'll enjoy from any golf course.
Notes Appropriate golf dress is required; Men: collared shirt, Bermuda length golf shorts or trousers, socks and closed in shoes. Women: collared or non collared shirts, sleeve or sleeveless, Bermuda length shorts Package includes: 18 holes of golf, Green fees & shared golf cart, Coordination fee, Round trip transfers from the pier. Please advise the Concierge or Club Director if you require any equipment. Rental Clubs and golf balls are extra and may need to be paid direct at the pro shop. $40.00 rental clubs and balls

Hiking To Santa Margherita
This picturesque hiking adventure departs from the tender pier passing through town by the trendy boutiques and shops that surround the charming piazzetta and the waterfront. Walk by the church before you reach the hiking path: depending on weather and paths conditions, the first half part of the tour is mostly uphill, walking towards Cappelletta, San Sebastiano and Olmi, to reach then Molini; the path leads the way through the Mediterranean flora, with fancy villas, vineyards and olive groves. Alternatively, you walk towards Paraggi along the breathtaking coastline where the hills and the seaside live harmoniously together, to then hike up towards Acquaviva and Molini, where an old olive oil mill has been renovated housing now a little museum and a tiny cafe with facilities. Vegetation hugs the medieval dwellings and the cliffs drop off to the crystal clear sea making this one of the most fascinating locations of the Riviera. Continue towards S.Anna and Nozarego to finally start the walk down to the main promenade of Santa Margherita Ligure. Santa Margherita's forms, colors, the arrangement of its characteristic houses, its rich villas and great hotels all seemingly painted around the bay produces something of a magical reflection. You will pause for a refreshment at a local cafe and some time to browse the shops before boarding your van for the return drive to Portofino or to just extend your stay in Santa Margherita to then make your own way back to your SeaDream Yacht. NOTE: This is a "real" hike and while the pace is not too brisk, it does require stamina and the ability to walk both uphill and downhill " A limited number of environmental guides are available.

Circolo - Rapallo Tennis & Golf
As the club's name implies, it offers both tennis and golf - a combination very popular with holidaymakers. The Rapallo Golf & Tennis Club belongs to the oldest and best courses in Italy. Thousands of different trees and three rivers, winding through the parcours, contribute to this challenging and demanding course. Hole no. 1 offers a rather difficult start, with a green defended by bunkers on three sides. The second hole, a doglog right with bunkers and trees on the fairway. The green is again defended by 3 bunkers. Water comes first into play at the third and at the 4th holes, where a river crosses and which borders the whole fairway of the tricky par 4 fifth on its left. One of the three rivers also influences the final hole whose green is well-defended by three bunkers and trees. You can expect a wonderful and exciting round.

Parador El Saler – Golf
In the early 60s, Javier Arana , undoubtedly the best designer of golf courses that Spain has ever had, was walkig in the pine forest of El Saler, next to the beach, and with his special intuition thought that this land would make a magnificent golf course. Javiar had the wisdom to respect and maximize the natural landscape, including all the pines and having sand dune separate the pine forest to the beach. The result is already known to all who have visited this golf course with very wide fairways and difficult greens, nearly a hundred bunkers, some exploiting natural dunes, and without any other special difficulty, makes it difficult to fulfill a par 72. Whoever plays in El Saler should know that this is one of the best courses in the world and located in a privileged area of Valencia: Dehesa de El Saler . It was inaugurated on June 3, 1968 and responds to a masterpiece of the architect and designer Javier Arana. El Saler has hosted major national and international tests in the various categories, highlighting the Open of Spain, 1984, 89 and 2001 and the Seve Trophy 2003. http://www.parador.es/elsaler_es/
