Snorkeling around Ko A Dang Island
Explore Tarutao Archipelago and one of the best beautiful coral reefs in Thailand, take the time to snorkel and see this stunning underwater world. Board a speedboat and cruise to A Dang Island while you will enjoy scenic backdrop of the limestone islands. If the tide is right, you may have a chance to step on the beach of Ko Khai Island for photographing the stone formations, the white sand beach and the clear turquoise sea. Depart via the gangway and be transported to a pontoon just off A Dang Island, where you will transfer to a longtailed boat. Ko A Dang has beautiful coral reefs and sandy beaches, and it’s neighbored by several beautiful small islands. You will island hop in your longtailed boat, and have the opportunity to snorkel, swim, relax on the beach, and sunbathe. At your first stop, the nearest beach of A Dang, you will also be able walk up the steps to “Sha-Dough Cliff” where the stunning panoramic view of the opposite Rawi Island awaits you. The area of Ko Ra Wi is mountainous and covered with forest and has a large waterfall where water runs all year long. Then continue on your longtailed boat to Lipe Island, you will have time to stroll along the beach or soak yourself in the crystal clear water. Lipe island is famed for a sea gypsy village, where a traditional celebration on the 13th-15th day of the waxing moon in May and November is held. Sea gypsies gather for 3 days and 3 nights, to build a boat to float in the sea and predict their fishing fortunes. Your longtailed boat will also take you to Hin Ngam Island where you will see the shiny black pebbles along its beaches for which the island was named (Hin means Rock and Ngam means beautiful). Your last snorkeling site is Ro Kroi Island where you will see many different types of fish. Finally, cruise back to the pontoon near A Dang Island and re-board your transportation back to the yacht.
